Does Whey and Exercise Improve HGH Production

We all know that exercise is 'huge' in the prevention of disease as well as playing an important role if you want to stay younger. Exercise is an effective way to regain insulin and leptin sensitivity, as well as reverse insulin and leptin resistance this is key to remaining healthy as we age.

However, another reason that exercise is seen as a 'fountain of youth' is because when it is done with intensity it actually boosts your body's product of HGH naturally, important to addressing the serious muscle loss that occurs as we age. A recent study shows that whey and exercise augment HGH production keeping the body younger.

Fasting intermittently offers similar benefits, including a dramatic boost in HGH and optimized insulin - and leptin sensitivity. Recent research shows that ingesting carbohydrates with added whey protein during your short-term recovery from a 90 minute period of running on the treadmill will increase your response to a second exhaustive exercise session that has a similar duration.

You must always implement an exercise program and diet plan that is based on your goal whether that is improved athletic performance, reproductive success, or health and longevity.

If your goal is to optimize competitive athletics, then carb-loading used in the study can be beneficial. However if you're seeking long-term optimal health, this is not a wise strategy as this needs a different approach. It then becomes very important for you to avoid carbs as well as make sure you are using high quality protein sources.

In the wake of watching Lance Armstrong stripped of all his titles and facing a lifetime ban from cycling after being found guilty of doping, more research has come to like. And one study "The Goldman Dilemma", shows that more than 50% of all Olympic-level athletes without hesitation would use a drug that would kill them within 5 years just as long a gold medal was guaranteed. However, to most of us this would not be acceptable.

Exercise and HGH

When you participate in a high intensity workout, your production of HGH will increase as much a 771%, because you stimulate what are called your fast twitch muscle fibers. These muscle fibers are seldom used during an exercise program, which I why they stimulate your HGH production. The higher your levels of HGH in the body the stronger and healthier you will be.

By the time you are 30 years of age, you enter what is called somatopause, which is a time when the production of HGH in the body begins to drop dramatically. When this HGH declines it drives your aging process, and you begin to see the effects of aging. This is why it is so important to keep your HGH production up. For more on how exercise increases HGH levels go here!

Sometimes athletes will opt to use HGH injections because of the performance enhancing qualities, even though it is a banned substance in almost all professional sports. HGH injections are not necessary unless you have an extremely low HGH level and can only be administered by a doctor writing you a prescription. For almost everyone an HGH supplement is adequate to help your body increase production of HGH within the body. HGH supplements don't have the side effects that HGH injections have.

Eating Whey Protein While Exercising Can Boost HGH Production

One review showed that 20-25 grams of protein absorbed rapidly, such as whey protein will stimulate muscle building to the max after resistance exercise in individuals that are young and healthy. High quality protein that is rich ins leucine, like whey can be very important for the elderly allowing them to maximize muscle protein. Consuming weight up to 48 hours after resistance exercise still offers benefits.

A recent study published in the journal Medicine and Science in Sports & Exercise confirmed that consuming whey protein (20g protein / serving) just 30 minutes prior to resistance training boosts your body's metabolism for up to 24 hours after your workout. If you consumed 20 grams of whey protein prior to exercise and another 20 grams of whey protein after exercise, will likely double the benefit of increased fat burning and muscle build up.

Intermittent Fasting Boosts HGH Production Naturally

Just like combing whey protein with high intensity exercise increases HGH production, so does exercise and fasting. Research has shown that fasting raised HGH production by 2,000% in men and 1,300% in women - that's amazing! The combination of fasting with exercise maximizes the cellular factor impact, which in turn forces the breakdown of glycogen for energy and force the breakdown of fat.

With intermittent fasting, you will not abstain from eating for more than 36 hours, and 14 to 18 hours are very common. You can even decide to just delay when you eat. For example, if you skip breakfast it could be just what's needed to get you off your fitness plateau.

Putting it Together

Whether you are trying to optimize your HGH for health and longevity or athletic performance, when you participate in two sessions of high intensity exercise every week, it will help you achieve your goal to boost HGH production in the body. Add some intermittent fasting and you will give it yet another boost. Also you may consider adding an HGH supplement for even better results!
